Keith Kepler

Vice President/General Manager

Keith is responsible for the oversight and direction of all operational, financial and administrative functions for the Southeast Region. Keith joined AlliedBarton in1997 and has led multiple divisions and offices throughout the country as well as managed many large customer transition teams to ensure consistency of service during provider changes. Keith is a participant in many of area associations, including serving on the Board of Governors for Georgia Security Council, the Board of Advisors for the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce in addition to being a member of BOMA and ASIS. Keith holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Carolina as well as a Master of Criminal Justice from the same institution.

Kevin Thaxton

Vice President of Business Development

Kevin leads a team of six Business Development Managers and is responsible for leadership development and execution of the sales strategy in the Southeast Region. Born and raised in Macon, Georgia, Kevin has lived in the metro Atlanta area since 2000. He joined AlliedBarton in 2014, and has more than 18 years of sales leadership experience. Kevin is a member of the Building Owners and Managers Association of Georgia. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Mercer University.

Brian MacKay

Vice President, Operations

Brian is responsible for directing human resources, operations, business development, contract compliance, quality and risk management initiatives for the Southeast Region. He manages nine district managers whose teams are responsible for service delivery on a day-to-day basis to more than 4,000 employees. Brian provides operational leadership and support to more than 400 customer locations throughout Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi and South Carolina. Brian joined AlliedBarton in 1990 and has more than 30 years’ experience in the security industry. He is a member of ASIS and BOMA and received a B.S. in Criminology from Florida State University.

Kristen Argus

Director, Value Management

Kristen is responsible for operational oversight and the delivery of the Client Value Management Model in the Southeast Region. She manages a team of Client Value Managers who are responsible for daily service delivery to clients within GA, SC, TN, AL and MS. Kristen grew up in the Midwest, near Chicago. She served as an Active Duty Army Officer for 11 years in the Transportation Corps. Kristen has seven years of Contract Management Experience within the service industry. She received her B.S. from the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY.

Scott Schuttinga

District Manager

Scott is responsible for the operational activities and service delivery to clients in the Birmingham District which includes the state of Alabama and most of the state of Mississippi. Scott has been with AlliedBarton since 2006 and has over 17 years of industry experience. Scott is a member of the Montgomery Chapter of ASIS. Scott holds a BA in Criminal Justice from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Heidi Morris

Business Development Manager

Heidi is responsible for marketing and new business development in Alabama and along the Mississippi gulf coast. She began her sales career in Honolulu, HI after graduating with a marketing degree from Texas A&M. She was with Herman Miller as a market manager and a dealer sales manager for 7 years before transitioning to the copier industry. After a military upbringing, settling in Alabama has given her a deep appreciation of community. She’s served on the PTO of her childrens’ elementary school for 6 years and on the board of the Homewood Chamber of Commerce for 2 years. Currently she’s on the board of the AMA (American Marketing Association), serving as the Collegiate Committee VP.

Anthony Hazel

Client Value Manager

Anthony is responsible for the operational activities and service delivery to remotely managed clients in the Birmingham District, which includes the state of Alabama and most of the state of Mississippi. Anthony has been with AlliedBarton since 2007 and has over 12 years of industry experience. He is a member of the National Rifle Association (NRA) and studied Criminal Justice at Savannah State University in Savannah, Georgia. Anthony is also graduate from Armstrong State University Law Enforcement Academy in Savannah, Georgia.

Michael Dunn

Business Development Specialist – Healthcare

Michael is responsible for creating customized security programs for Healthcare clients in the Southeast Region and Jacksonville that ensure health systems and hospitals deliver a safe and secure environment for their patients, staff, and visitors. He has been with AlliedBarton since 2006 in both an operations and sales role and has more than 11 years of security experience. Michael is an active member of ACHE, ASHE, IAHSS and ASIS. He holds a B.A. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from University of Maryland, College Park.
Security Resource Center
