Bios

Keith Kepler

Vice President/General Manager

Keith is responsible for the oversight and direction of all operational, financial and administrative functions for the Southeast Region. Keith joined AlliedBarton in1997 and has led multiple divisions and offices throughout the country as well as managed many large customer transition teams to ensure consistency of service during provider changes. Keith is a participant in many of area associations, including serving on the Board of Governors for Georgia Security Council, the Board of Advisors for the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce in addition to being a member of BOMA and ASIS. Keith holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Carolina as well as a Master of Criminal Justice from the same institution.

Brian MacKay

Vice President, Operations

Brian is responsible for directing human resources, operations, business development, contract compliance, quality and risk management initiatives for the Southeast Region. He manages nine district managers whose teams are responsible for service delivery on a day-to-day basis to more than 4,000 employees. Brian provides operational leadership and support to more than 400 customer locations throughout Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi and South Carolina. Brian joined AlliedBarton in 1990 and has more than 30 years’ experience in the security industry. He is a member of ASIS and BOMA and received a B.S. in Criminology from Florida State University.

Ted Low

Vice President, Business Development

Ted is responsible for leading new business development efforts in the Southeastern Region. Ted has been with AlliedBarton since 2011 and has more than 11 years of security industry experience. Ted also represents AlliedBarton as the Vice President of Residential nationwide and is a member of CAI. Before coming to AlliedBarton, Ted served as Vice President & General Manager, VP Sales West and Midwest Regions for Kastle Systems in Los Angeles. Ted holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Michael Messina

Director of Value Management

Mike is responsible for the oversight of The Value Management Process in the Southeast region, which entails delivering quality service and making value visible to our internal and external clients. He was born in New York but has lived in the south for more than 30 years. Mike has been in law enforcement and the security industry for 33 years and has been a member of BOMA and ASIS. He holds a B.A. from Lehman College.

Scott Schuttinga

District Manager

Scott is responsible for the operational activities and service delivery to clients in the Birmingham District which includes the state of Alabama and most of the state of Mississippi. Scott has been with AlliedBarton since 2006 and has over 17 years of industry experience. Scott is a member of the Montgomery Chapter of ASIS. Scott holds a BA in Criminal Justice from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Jeff Maples

Business Development Manager

Jeff is responsible for the ongoing process of developing new business for the state of Alabama and from Jackson, MS to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Jeff is also responsible for bringing information to our prospect base regarding our expertise in several markets such as Healthcare, Higher Education, Manufacturing, Commercial Real Estate, Chemical/Petrochemical and Mall Security. Jeff has been with AlliedBarton for four years and has 25 years of business development and management experience. Jeff is a member of the ASIS, BOMA, CAI and NCMS. Jeff holds a BS in Business Management / Marketing from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, AL.
